Hello Foodies......hope you all are doing great and enjoying this monsoon season with your favorite food. Let me ask you what is your favorite food that you relish while enjoying the rain with your cuppa? I like to sit in my balcony having a cup of chai with some fried stuff and yes playing my favorite monsoon songs in the background. That's my way to enjoy monsoons and relax.
The monsoon season is running in full swing in almost every part of India so to enjoy this season we're presenting Crispy Aloo Tikkis or Potato Cutlets.
They pair very well with your evening tea or coffee. You can also serve them as an appetizer if you have any guests coming at your home. They're super simple and require very less time to prepare.

1. Potatoes: 4 medium size
2. Chopped Onion: 2 medium size
3. Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp
4. Chilli Flakes: 1 tsp
5. Breadcrumbs: 1 cup
6. Corn Flakes: 1 cup
7. Chaat Masala: 1 tsp
8. Corn Flour: 3 tsp
9. Salt to taste
Method:
1. Grate the potatoes with the help of a grater.
2. Add chopped onions, chilli flakes, salt and chaat masala to the potato mixture and mix everything well.
3. Take small amount of mixture in your hands and give it a shape of a tikki.
4. Prepare a corn flour slurry by mixing cornflour with 1/2 cup of water.
5. Crush the breadcrumbs into small pieces.
6. Take a Aloo tikki dip it in the corn flour mixture and coat them with corn flakes. Repeat this process twice so that our Aloo Tikkis doesn't disintegrate while frying.
7. Similarly we will work with the breadcrumbs. Dip the Aloo tikki in corn flour mixture and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Repeat this process twice so that our Aloo Tikkis doesn't disintegrate while frying.
8. Heat oil in a pan and fry the Aloo tikkis on medium-high flame until they turn golden brown from both the sides.
9. Flip the Aloo tikkis once they’re done from one side. Once they get a nice golden color from all the sides take them out in a plate.
