Gobi Manchurian

             

Hello Peeps......Hope you are doing great and relishing the cool summer beverages this season. I know many people who doesn't like the Summer season; well they have their own reasons for not enjoying this particular time of the year. If you ask me I love Summer season for many reasons; first and foremost being relishing upon the King of Fruits and i.e. MANGO and the other reasons are you can wear some colorful, light, easy breezy summer dresses.

One of the irritating thing we ladies hate to do face during the summer season is being in the kitchen but at the same time you can't compromise your family's health by eating outside and taking carryouts.


So, if you want some easy peasy snack items to munch on while spending quality time with your family then I have got you covered. Today's recipe is Gobi Manchurian. It's a very popular street food and a different version of Veg Manchurian or Chicken Manchurian. I have already shared the recipe of Veg Manchurian on my blog. You can find it here. (click here).


It's very easy to make and requires very less prep time. So, if you have some guests coming or you want to enjoy some quality time with your family then make this Gobi Manchurian and enjoy the time with your friends and family members.

So, let's see how to make Gobi Manchurian:


Ingredients:

For the Fritters:

1. Cauliflower: 500 gms
2. Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
3. Corn Flour:4 tbsp
4. Maida: 2 tbsp
5. Salt as per taste
6. Oil for frying

For the gravy:

1. Onions (finely chopped): 1/4 cup
2. Garlic (finely chopped): 3-4
3. Ginger (finely chopped): 1 tbsp
4. Green Onions (finely chopped): 1/4 cup
5. Green Chilies: 3-4
6. Soy Sauce: 1/2 tsp
7. Red Chilli Sauce: 1 1/2 tsp
8. Chilli Garlic Sauce: 1 tsp
9. Tomato Sauce: 1 tsp
10. Water: 1/4 cup
11. Oil: 3 tbsp


Method:

1. Cut the cauliflower into small florets and wash them nicely.

2. Boil water in a pan. Add some salt and cook the cauliflower florets into the boiling water for 2 mins.

3. Take them out in a bowl and let them cool down.

4. In a bowl take corn flour, all purpose flour, salt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder and water and make a batter out of it.

5. Add the boiled cauliflower florets into this batter and coat them nicely with the batter.

5. In a pan heat oil for frying. When the oil is hot enough add the cauliflower florets and fry them on medium heat until they turn golden brown. Don't overcrowd the pan.

5. Take them out in a plate lined with paper towel to soak the excess oil. Keep them aside.


6. In another pan add 1 tbsp of oil. When the oil is hot enough add garlic, ginger, chopped onions, green chilies and green onions. Fry them for a minute.

7. In a separate bowl add soy sauce, red chilli sauce, chilli garlic sauce, tomato sauce, water and mix well.

8. Put the sauce mixture in the pan and let it cook for a minute. 

9. Put in the fried cauliflower florets and coat them with the sauce and cook it until the sauce gets dry.

10. Take them out in a serving plate and garnish it with chopped green portion of the spring onions.

11. Enjoy!!
