Oats Idli

Hello Fellas.........hope you all are doing good and enjoying the monsoons at your respective places. These days my 3-year-old is keeping me on my toes.............always running behind him for this or that. Moreover their online classes......... that's another story, will write about it in some other post.

As it is said that "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar". In order to stay healthy and energetic throughout the day, it's very important to have a fulfilling breakfast. It is the first meal of the day, and it is the meal that the body uses to top up its glucose levels after 8-12 hours of fasting. If you skip your breakfast, you will have a shorter attention span, be less alert, take longer to react, have low blood sugar, and decreased productivity. So, never ever skip your breakfast.

Coming on to today's post it's all about a breakfast recipe which is not only healthy but fulfilling too. It is packed with nutrients and it requires very little time to prepare. Today's recipe is Oats Idli. Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They are gluten-free and a great source of vitamins, minerals, fiber, and antioxidants. There are many health benefits of oats including weight loss, lower blood sugar levels, and a reduced risk of heart disease.

So, without any further ado let's begin with the recipe:

Carrot Delight

Hello, my Foodie Friends.......I hope you all are keeping well and enjoying the festivities. Yes, the festival season has already started in India but this time it's very different but that's what the new normal is. We have to accept it and behave accordingly.

Today is Ganesh Chaturthi......according to mythological stories Lord Ganesha is worshiped before everyone and it was on this day that Lord Shiva had pronounced his son superior to all the gods and goddesses except Lord Shiva himself, Goddess Parvati, Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Lakshmi.

India will celebrate Ganeshutsav for the next 10 days starting today. Well, Lord Ganesha is worshiped equally in each and every region but if you want to feel the real essence of Ganeshutsav then you must visit Maharashtra where it's celebrated most of the households and every nooks and corner.

Ganesh Puja is incomplete without Modaks as this is the most loved dessert of Lord Ganesha. Modaks can be prepared in a variety of forms and nowadays it is available in the sweet shops too. I have already shared the recipe of Modak in my blog. You can check it out here.

Today's recipe is a bit different it's about Carrot Delight or Carrot Jelly Burfi. Nowadays since Carrots are available throughout the year and we can enjoy them at any time of the year. There are a lot of dessert delicacies made with carrots. One of them is Carrot Burfi, this burfi is a little bit different from the usual burfi recipe as I have given jelly texture to it.

So, let's begin with the recipe:

Cabbage Muthia

Hello, my foodie friends.......as the monsoon is in full swing we always crave some Pakodas and Bhajiyas with our evening cup of tea. I like to sit in my balcony having a cup of chai with some fried stuff and yes playing my favorite monsoon songs in the background. That's my way to enjoy monsoons and relax.

We all love Pakodas and Bhajiyas whether it's Aalu Pakoda, Pyaz Pakoda, Paneer Pakoda, Fish Pakoda, Chicken Pakoda, and the list goes on and on...........especially if you ask me I can't control myself whenever I see them and forget everything about calories-diet, that much I love Pakodas.

If you're health-conscious or you regularly monitor your diet then having Pakodas and Bhajiyas is not a good idea. But, kya kare......Dil hain ke manta nahi !! If you want to relish those Bhajiyas with the khatti-meethi chutney without the guilt then needless to worry I have a very good option available for you.

Today's recipe is Cabbage Muthiya which is a very healthy alternative to the regular fried kind of stuffs and you can enjoy them even freeze them for you 8-10 days. So, whenever you want to enjoy your evening tea with a snack take them out of the freezer, pop them in the microwave and give them a nice tadka. Ta Da......your healthy and delicious alternative to Pakodas is ready.

Cabbage Muthias are very easy to prepare but require little bit of prep work but you can do it beforehand and serve them as and when required. So, without any further ado let's begin with the recipe:

Chocolate Truffles

As you must be knowing I have started a new series where I'm sharing some kid-friendly recipes for our little ones who are at home since the starting of the lockdown. Since our son is just 3 yrs old so we're not taking him out of the home. In order to make him happy I try to make his favorite food items but that too with a twist so that he can feel something new with each and every dish.

I strongly believe one thing that can keep them us happy in this situation is good food. Treat them with their favorite dishes every now and then to keep them happy and motivated. Today's recipe is Chocolate Balls or Chocolate Biscuit Truffles and which doesn't need any fancy ingredients. This can serve as a great dessert and make your kid happy whenever they're a little demotivated.

These Chocolate Truffles are very easy to make and requires very few ingredients which are easily available at our home. In this recipe, I have shared 4 different ways of decorating the truffles but you can decorate them as you like or as per your kids liking. So, let's begin with the recipe:
