Chocolate Truffles

As you must be knowing I have started a new series where I'm sharing some kid-friendly recipes for our little ones who are at home since the starting of the lockdown. Since our son is just 3 yrs old so we're not taking him out of the home. In order to make him happy I try to make his favorite food items but that too with a twist so that he can feel something new with each and every dish.

I strongly believe one thing that can keep them us happy in this situation is good food. Treat them with their favorite dishes every now and then to keep them happy and motivated. Today's recipe is Chocolate Balls or Chocolate Biscuit Truffles and which doesn't need any fancy ingredients. This can serve as a great dessert and make your kid happy whenever they're a little demotivated.

These Chocolate Truffles are very easy to make and requires very few ingredients which are easily available at our home. In this recipe, I have shared 4 different ways of decorating the truffles but you can decorate them as you like or as per your kids liking. So, let's begin with the recipe:

Ingredients:

1. Digestive/Marie Biscuits: 10-12
2. Condensed Milk: 1/2 cup
3. Cocoa Powder: 2 tbsp
4. Milk Chocolate: 150 grams
5. Desiccated Coconut: as required
6. Melted Milk Chocolate: as required
7. Melted White Chocolate: as required
8. Cocoa Powder: as required

Method:

1. Take a grinder and add the biscuits in it. Make a powder of the biscuits. Once done pour this powdered biscuit in a bowl.

2. Add condensed milk and cocoa powder. Mix everything well.

3. Check the mixture whether you're able to form a ball out of it. If not then add a tbsp of condensed milk.

4. Once done make lemon size walls from the mixture.

5. Cut the chocolate into small pieces and add them to a bowl. Make sure there's no moisture or water in the bowl.

6. Boil water in a pan and once done switch off the heat. Place the chocolate bowl over the pan and make sure water is not spilling in the bowl.

7. Once the chocolate is melted take off the bowl from the pan.

8. Add the balls in the melted chocolate and coat them nicely with it. Place them on a plate.

9. Refrigerate the chocolate balls for 30-40 minutes or until set.

10. Once done take out the chocolate balls from the refrigerator and garnish them as you like.

FOR GARNISHING:

1. Coat the chocolate balls with desiccated coconut.

2. Take the melted milk chocolate in a piping bag and make zig-zag patterns on the chocolate balls.

3. Take the melted white chocolate in a piping bag and make zig-zag patterns on the chocolate balls.

4. Sprinkle cocoa powder on the chocolate balls.
