No Cheese, No Yeast, No Oven Veg Pizza

Hello, my Foodie friends........As you know I have started a new series where I'm sharing some fast food recipes which are available at our favorite food joints or restaurants like McDonald's, KFC, Domino's, etc. I have already shared some recipes like:
Today in this blog post, I'm sharing the recipe for Pizza. I have made this Pizza during the lockdown period in India when we were having very limited resources available with us moreover, most of the items weren’t even available be it online or offline. I wanted to document this recipe because it is one of those exotic dishes which needs so many things like cheese, yeast, and oven which are not necessarily available in every household always.

I have made this Pizza without cheese, without yeast, on the gas stove, and using veggies that were available with me. I should say my 3-year-old son inspired me to make this recipe. Actually, he was missing Domino's too much and was craving for Pizza since long. I made this one especially for him and that smile on his face was so satisfying.

Do give this recipe a try and trust me you won't regret eating this one. This Pizza tastes as amazing as the one made with all the ingredients. So, without any further ado let's begin with the recipe:

Ingredients:

FOR MAKING PIZZA DOUGH:

1. All-purpose flour (Maida): 2 cups

2. Curd: 1/2 cup

3. Baking Powder: 1/2 tsp

4. Baking Soda: 1/4 tsp
5. Powdered Sugar: 1 tbsp
6. Salt: 1/2 tsp
7. Oil: 2 tbsp
8. Milk: 4-5 tbsp

FOR PIZZA TOPPING:

1. Veggies: whatever available with you
2. Pizza Sauce: 2 tbsp
3. Chilli Flakes: 1 tbsp
4. Mixed Herbs: 1 tbsp

FOR INSTANT PIZZA SAUCE:

1. Tomato Ketchup: 1 tbsp
2. Schezwan Sauce: 1 tbsp
3. Mixed Herbs: 1 tbsp

FOR WHITE SAUCE (CHEESE SUBSTITUTE)

1. All-purpose flour: 2 tbsp
2. Butter: 2 tbsp
3. Milk: 1/2 cup
4. Salt: to taste

Method:

FOR MAKING PIZZA DOUGH:

1. Take a bowl and add maida, baking powder, baking soda, powdered sugar, and salt. Now using a wire whisk mix everything well.

2. Now add curd and try to knead the dough using our hands. Once done, we will add oil and knead the dough once again.

3. Sprinkle few drops of milk at a time and knead the dough until the dough leaves the sides of the bowl. It should be sticky but will form a softball.

4. Keep the dough covered and let it rest in a warm place for at least an hour or until it gets double in volume. Check the dough after an hour.

FOR MAKING WHITE SAUCE (CHEESE SUBSTITUTE):

1. Place a pan on medium heat and add butter. Let it melt.

2. Add all-purpose flour little at a time and cook it on low flame until you can smell a nice aroma from it. Take care to avoid any lumps.

3. Add little milk at a time and prepare a lump-free sauce.

4. Add salt to taste and water (1-2 tbsp) to adjust the consistency of the sauce.

5. Once done switch off the flame and remove the sauce in a separate bowl.

FOR MAKING INSTANT PIZZA SAUCE:

Take a bowl and add tomato sauce, schezwan sauce, and mixed herbs. Mix everything well and our instant pizza sauce is ready.

FOR MAKING PIZZA BASE:

1. Take the pizza dough and knead it once again.

2. Cut the dough in halves. You can freeze half of the dough and reuse it later on.

3. Take the other half and roll it into a thick pizza base.

FOR ASSEMBLING THE PIZZA:

1. Grease a plate with oil.

2. Place the pizza base in the plate and stick it on the sides of the plate.

3. Add a thick layer of pizza sauce and the prepared white sauce.

4. Place the veggies on the pizza base.

5. Sprinkle a generous amount of mixed herbs and chili flakes.

BAKING THE PIZZA:

1. Add salt in a pan and preheat it on a medium flame for 10 minutes.

2. Place a stand and keep the prepared pizza on the stand carefully.

3. Cook the pizza on low flame for 20-25 minutes.

4. Once done take out the pizza and cut it into slices. Serve the bread pizza with chili flakes and mixed herbs. Enjoy!!
