Idli Burger

Hello Fellas................ I hope everyone is doing fine and staying healthy. In my earlier posts, I have mentioned a series where I'll be sharing some Kids Friendly recipes which are very easy to prepare, and at the same time, kids will love them too. If you have missed those posts then click the recipes name below to get redirected to the recipes:

Today's recipe is Idli Burger: one of my son's favorite. Idli is a very common breakfast in most of the Indian households. It's a very healthy and hassle-free breakfast item if you do the prep work beforehand. On the other hand, we all (especially our kids) love Burger, isn't it? Then how about combining both the items? As you all know I'm a huge fan of fusion dishes and love to do experimental cooking. Sometimes the outcome is a huge disaster and sometimes it's a huge success; basically, it is two sides of the same coin.

So, in this recipe, I have tried to replace the buns in the burger with Rava Idlis. If you want you can go for traditional idlis too. Rava Idlis come handy if you are in a hurry. Just combine the ingredients of Rava Idli, steam them and you're done. If you want the recipe for Rava Idli you can click here (

Masala Dosa

Hello, my Foodie Friends............. I hope this post finds you well. As it is said that "Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar". In order to stay healthy and energetic throughout the day, it's very important to have a fulfilling breakfast. It is the first meal of the day, and it is the meal that the body uses to top up its glucose levels after 8-12 hours of fasting. Glucose is very important for the brain and it’s the main source of energy for the body. It also fuels the muscles that are necessary for physical activity throughout the day. If you skip your breakfast, you will have a shorter attention span, be less alert, take longer to react, have low blood sugar, and decreased productivity.

Today's post is all about a South Indian delicacy Masala Dosa. Dosa's are thin crispy crepes made from fermented rice and lentil batter. The lentil used here is Urad Daal. Dosas are generally served with Sambhar and Coconut chutney. Having Dosa in breakfast is a very common scene in every South Indian household but nowadays it has become popular worldwide.

There are many variations of Dosas: Paneer Dosa, Ghee Roast Dosa, Chinese Dosa, Mysore Masala Dosa, Schezwan Masala Dosa, Pav Bhaji Dosa, Neer Dosa, Oats Dosa, Rava Dosa, Pesarattu and the list goes on. But today we will learn about basic Masala Dosa which is a very common scene in breakfast. So, let's begin with the recipe:

Chilli Idli

India is a very diversified country and its diversity can not be seen in art, culture, language but also in food too. The diversity in food can be seen in its look, taste and even in the way it is cooked. One dish can be different in its look, taste and the process of cooking in different parts of our country. That's how diversified our country is and we Indians are definitely proud of it.

Have you ever tried Fusion Dishes? Fusion Cuisine doesn't fall under any particular cuisine style and has played a part in innovations of many contemporary restaurant cuisines since the 1970s. It's really very innovative and at the same time challenging to fuse elements of different culinary traditions into one style of cooking. I usually try to experiment with some traditional dishes and give them a new look and feel.

Today in this post I'm going to blend together two different cuisines which are way apart from one another, one is South Indian cuisine and the other one is Chinese Cuisine/ Ind0-Chinese Cuisine to be very specific. If you love these cuisines then you'll definitely love this recipe.

If you're wondering how to cook Idlis which are soft and fluffy then I have got your back. I have already posted the recipe of Idlis which you can read here (click here). So, let's begin with the recipe:

Instant Poha Uttapam

We all love South Indian Breakfast recipes, there are multiple options available starting from Idli, Dosa, Sambhar Vada, Panniyaram and the list goes on and on. Today in this post I'm going to share one more very common breakfast recipe and i.e. Uttapam.

One thing I love about South Indian cuisine is that it's very healthy and uses minimal oil. You can feed these dishes to babies, aged persons and even to the people on diet. I have already shared some of the delicacies from South Indian Breakfast recipes like
Click the names and you'll be redirected to the posts.

Uttapams are South Indian breakfast recipe made with rice, lentil and topped with veggies. These are generally served with coconut chutney and sambhar. Generally, Uttapams are prepared from the leftover Dosa batter and toppings are added to balance the sourness of the batter. Personally, I like to make my Uttapams very colorful so I try to add different veggies which make the Uttapam not only colorful but gives it a nice texture too.

The traditional approach of making Uttapams is very tedious and time-consuming too. So, here I'm sharing a quick and instant recipe of Poha Uttapam. Apart from using Poha or flattened rice, we will also require Suji or Semolina and Curd/Yogurt. You can top the Uttapam with any veggies of your choice. Here I have used onion, capsicum, carrot and coriander leaves.

So, without any further ado let's begin with the recipe:
