Herb Roasted Chicken

Hello peeps, hope you'll are doing good. Few days back I had posted a pic of Herb Roasted Chicken with Dijon Green Beans on my Insta stories and I received number of DM's to post the its recipe. 

Believe me that dish was an impromptu attempt to cook something for dinner; whatever was handy I had mixed up everything and came up with a dish which was a great hit on the dining table and on my social media handles too. 

So, I thought to give that dish a place on my blog so that I won't forget the recipe and you guys can also try it in your kitchen. This recipe is not only healthy but also requires minimal prep and cooking time which is very helpful on the days when we don't like to step into the kitchen.

Here, the recipe of Herb Roasted Chicken with Dijon Green Beans. 


Herb Roasted Chicken:

1. Chicken Breast: 2 (cut into thin layers)
2. Italian Seasoning: 1 tbsp
3. Lemon & Herb Seasoning: 1 tbsp
4. McCormick's Herbs and Garlic Seasoning: 1 tbsp
5. Garlic Powder: 1 tsp
6. Onion Powder: 1 tsp
7. Ginger-Garlic Paste: 1 tbsp
8. Soy Sauce: 3 tbsp
9. Vinegar: 2 tbsp
10.Salt: as per taste
11.Pepper powder: as per taste
12. Butter/Oil: for basting

Dijon Green Beans:

1. Green Beans: 20-25
2. Garlic cloves (chopped): 4-5 
3. Dijon Mustard Sauce: 2 tbsp
4. Salt: as per taste
5. Pepper: as per taste
6. Butter/Oil: for cooking


Herb Roasted Chicken:

1. Wash and clean the chicken pieces thoroughly and pat dry with a kitchen towel.

2. Take all the ingredients except butter/oil in a mixing bowl and prepare a marinate. 

3. Put the chicken pieces in that marinate and coat them well. Cover and refrigerate the chicken for 4-5 hours (longer the better).

4. Preheat the oven at 450 degrees F, place the chicken pieces in the baking tray and bast the chicken with butter/oil whichever you're using. 

5. Bake the chicken for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked. Bast the chicken again with butter/oil if required.

Dijon Green Beans:

1. Wash the beans thoroughly and blanch them for 1-2 mins.

2. Melt butter in a pan and add crushed garlic. Allow the garlic to release its flavors in the butter. Take care not to burn it.

3. Add the blanched green beans, salt, pepper and dijon mustard sauce. Let it cook for a minute or two.

4. When you're ready to serve; place the herb roasted chicken on the serving plate and put the dijon green beans on the side. Enjoy!!
